I guess I'm book blogging now

I've considered myself a writer above all else for years, but a fiction writer? Sure, I dabbled in storytelling, but it was mostly unfinished short stories wishing they could be unfinished novels. Years ago, I finished a novella which I didn't know what to do with so I converted the whole thing into verse, which I didn't know what to do with either.

Seemed like getting what I wrote published was about as likely as the content of my stories.  Maybe less so, and my fiction tends to be speculative.

Something changed, though.

I have exciting news, or at least it's exciting to me. A novella I wrote last year has been selected for publication by a small indie press, and while there are no plans for print and significant edits may be required before any of it becomes available to the public, it should be published eventually; it will be serialized first before electronic publication, and when any of that happens I will do my best to post about it here.

Yup, that's about it for now. I'm not exactly accustomed to blogging about my writing, but time can change that.
